Terms and Conditions

Therapy Sessions

Each session lasts approximately 50 to 60 minutes.  Typically you will need 4 therapy sessions each within 3 weeks of each other. Sometimes you may need more therapy sessions and sometimes you may need less. You may also need ongoing follow-up sessions.  I will discuss that should you need them.

Therapy Outcome

The session fees are for the therapist’s time and are not a guarantee of a successful outcome. The agreement to work on the issues presented by you, in no way implies or guarantees the resolution of your presenting issue(s). I will however endeavour to use my best efforts and skills to work towards your therapeutic goal(s).

To maximise the likelihood of a successful outcome, you agree to participate fully in the therapy and reasonably act upon therapeutic suggestions between sessions.

Other Medical Treatments

If you are receiving treatment from a medical psychiatrist or for any serious medical or psychological conditions you must inform me in the free introductory session as permission must be received in writing from your consultant before any hypnotherapy sessions can commence.

Initial deposit

A small refundable deposit of £10 is required to confirm your appointments. This will be requested at the end of the introductory session if you wish to continue to therapy.

This deposit be refunded at your final therapy session provided you have not breached the cancellation policy. (see below)

Payment Methods

Payment is taken at the start of the therapy session. Exact Cash is welcome. Debit cards with CHIP and PIN are welcomed.  Paypal Here is used to take the payment. Cheques are not accepted.

Contact Between Sessions

Any contact between sessions will be by telephone, or email during office hours only (Monday to Saturday, 10.00am to 4.00pm).

Attending Sessions

Please arrive promptly at your appointment time and allow extra time for any journeys to reach the consulting rooms.

If you are running late, please let me know as soon as possible either by phoning or sending a text message to 07834 571860. I will try my best to accommodate you, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel an appointment or are otherwise unable to attend, please let me know as soon as possible.

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice or non-attendance at appointments without prior notification will result in your initial deposit payment not being refunded. Where this occurs, you will be required to pay in advance for sessions if further therapy sessions are required.

Standards of Behaviour

During the course of any therapy sessions, I will treat you with respect and empathy. At times however you may feel emotional and challenged, this is a normal part of therapy.

You agree not to cause harm to yourself, or me, others, or any property belonging to me or others. You agree not to come to sessions under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs and not to demonstrate violent or abusive behaviour.

If you do come to sessions under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs or demonstrate violent/abusive behaviour, I will cancel the session and refuse to see you for any further therapy sessions.

Confidentiality

All sessions, including telephone conversations, will be conducted in confidence and may be recorded. Prior to any recording, your agreement will be sought. All recordings, conversations and notes will remain confidential, except in the following instances:

1. Where you give written consent to disclose information you have told me in confidence.

2. Where the therapist is compelled by a court of law.

3. Where a referring GP or other healthcare professional requires a report. A copy of the report will be available on request.

I am professionally obliged to inform the authorities if you tell me about the possibility of harming others.
